2020 Down Under CrossFit Championship

Sponsors will benefit from premium on floor advertising, exposure on the Down Under Website and social media including commercials on the globally streamed live feed.

Sponsors who attend the event will be treated to VIP floor seating, back of house access, exclusive viewing points and a platinum catering package all while watching some of the fittest athletes in the world.

The Down Under CrossFit Championship previously known as the the CrossFit Games Pacific Regional and prior to that the CrossFit Games Australian Regional, in 2019 we changed to the Sanctioned Events were the Event organisers owned the License to the Events like back in 2009 and 2010.

The event has been hosted at Randwick Racecourse, Charles Moses Arena, Qudos Bank Arena, and WIN Entertainment Centre Wollongong.

Athletes qualify for this Event through the CrossFit Games Open October through November. This is an online competition where a workout is released once a week for 5 weeks. Athletes have a number of criteria to meet with movement standards weights and measurements. Athletes can have their scores validated by a CrossFit Licensed Affiliate (Gym). Top performing Athletes need to submit a video to validate their performance and receive any prize money or qualifying positions.

The Down Under CrossFit Championship also takes the winners from other Smaller Competitions like Kalis Games Phillipines, Crusader Series New Zealand, Brazil CrossFit Championship. 1 Male, 1 Female Community Wild Card position.

The Total number of athletes will be 80 Males and 80 Female Individual. 160 Athletes in Teams of 2 Males 2 Females.

All Athletes will receive treatment from a Athlete service partner Rocktape. The Athletes receive treatment from Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Rock Doctors, Remedial Massage therapists.

The Event attracts people from all over the world, this year we have 17 nations who have expressed interest to compete. To Qualify for the Down Under CrossFit Championship Athletes will perform in the Reebok CrossFit Games online qualifier starting 10 Oct 10 Nov 2020, each week for 5 weeks an Event will be broadcast live to the world. Each week the athlete have 5 days to complete their best result and submit their score. Athletes can either have their score validated at a licensed CrossFit Affiliate or submit a video submission.

At the completion of the 5 weeks an invitation will be sent to the top 80 Athletes and 40 Team to compete at the Down Under CrossFit Championship, 22-24th May 2020. The winners of the Event, 1 Male, 1 Female and 1 Team will earn an Invitation to compete at the CrossFit Games Madison Wisconsin August 2020. The athlete have a prize pool of $36 000 AUD.

Our event is supported with a community team of 200 volunteers whose passion is felt in the deliverance of a this presege event. The bonds of friendship and comeradie are felt strong in every team and the athletes feel well supported as they put their bodies on the line to prove their fitness.

Every May the Coastal City of Wollongong braces itself as they support the CrossFit Community with Every street are awash with the CrossFit community evry Cafe brustling with CrossFit Community, Cafe have transformed their Menus to Paleo and Healthy options to favour the Athletes and their Fans that come to watch and support these amazing athletes over the 3 days of competition.
