Floating Land

Floating Land combines the creative community of Boreen Point with professional installation artists together creating a compelling atmosphere of activity in all the arts on the shores of Lake Cootharaba.

Reflecting Noosa's national and international reputation as a community and a place that foregrounds care for and engagement with the natural environment, Floating Land focusses on the temporary installation of artworks that engage and collaborate with the special and spectacular spaces in which they are presented.

Noosa Regional Gallery is excited to announce that Floating Land will have a presence across two definitive and iconic sites – Boreen Point and Noosa National Park.

From the serene shores of Lake Cootharaba at Boreen Point to the rocky outcrops of Noosa National Park – and several spaces in between – visitors will be invited to experience thoughtful, challenging and environmentally aware works that engage sensitively with these special and spectacular spaces.
