Bras, Bikes, fun and funds for Bloomhill

Released By:

The pink bras and costumes are ready, the bikes are revving and the riders are excited. Yes, the annual Bloomhill Bras 'n Bikes charity ride, proudly hosted by Girl Torque, is almost here again!

On Sunday October 29 riders will set off from the Yandina Bowls Club for a round trip that's guaranteed to be colourful, fun and eye-catching and all in the name of raising funds for Bloomhill Cancer Care.

Girl Torque leader Judy Carroll and her intrepid committee have been working tirelessly to prepare for the event, gathering donations, sponsors and prizes.

Major sponsor TourOz Trikes is on board, and company owner Col Clarke will have some of his popular trikes taking part in the event. Mr Clarke said he was "proud to support such a worthy cause" and encouraged riders of all bikes to join in the fun and fundraising.

Mrs Carroll said she hoped that everyone was "pink bra ready" and is keen to see a record turnout of riders on the day.

"The girls from Girl Torque are riding the event route every weekend this month in preparation and we cannot wait to see everyone at the Yandina Bowls Club on the 29th!" she said.

"We are hoping for an even bigger and better event for our 16th ride, and we are thrilled with all the community support we have received to date, which makes an event like this possible."

Registration for riders is only $20 per bike (pillion riders are free) and can be completed via the online shop located on the Bloomhill website www.bloomhill.com.au/online-shop where you can also purchase BnB merchandise such as patches, neck socks and drink coolers.

Riders need to gather at the Yandina Bowls Club at 7.30am to register, with pink bras and pink attire and decorations ready to go. The (approximately) 140 kilometre round trip ride starts at 9.30am and will go for approximately two hours, finishing back at the bowls club. Before and after the ride there will be food and drinks on sale, raffles, barefoot bowls for all the family and fabulous entertainment from local band "Relic".

The major prize up for grabs is a $2,000 travel voucher from Coolum Cruise and Travel. Register now and bring the whole family over to Yandina for a fun family event raising funds to help Bloomhill Cancer Care support people of all ages on the Sunshine Coast to live well with cancer.
