Talented local performers from Caloundra Chorale and theatre company, Caloundra Community Choir, Inspiration Choir Maleny, Orianna Choir, Sunshine Coast Choir, USC Choir and Sunshine Coast Youth Orchestra will take centre stage at free community concert which will be held on Sunday, August 6.
The Our Sunshine Coast Concert will be a musical spectacular, conducted by Kim Kirkman. Mr Kirkman was the musical director of The Ten Tenors for six years, worked as a voice teacher at Central Queensland University for eight years and now conducts a number of Sunshine Coast choirs
The concert will also feature performances by winners of the Songs the Sunshine Coast competition Mason Hope and Michael Barry and special performer and MC Darren Percival.
Bring a blanket to this free, family-friendly event and enjoy kids entertainment and activities.
The performances will include a Beatles medley, original songs written to celebrate the occasion and the epic Carmina Burana by Carl Orff.
Join us at the Sunshine Coast Stadium on Sunday, August 6 with gates opening from 1pm.
Performance times 2-4pm. This event is free. Food and drinks will be available to purchase.
