Defending IronWoman Series champion Lana Rogers and two-time IronMan Series champion Ali Day will be ready to race in the return of the Nutri-Grain IronMan and IronWoman Series this weekend in Kingscliff (NSW).
Postponed late last year due to the ever-changing COVID-19 pandemic, the Series will get underway on Friday with round one, before round two and three take place on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
Sunshine Coast's Lana Rogers is the hot favourite coming into the Ironwoman after a breakout season last year. But 2019 Series champion Georgia Miller (Gold Coast) and Sydney's Lizzie Wellborn are poised to be her biggest threat, both coming into the Series in red hot form.
The Ironman race will see the much awaited return of two time Nutri-Grain Ironman Series champion and six time Coolangatta Gold champion Ali Day who last year was sidelined with injury.
A $200,000 prize pool across the six rounds is on offer, with an equal $100,000 prize pool for the men's and women's fields.
