The multiple Aria nominee will perform at the October 2-5 festival as part of his Australia-wide Flag Tour that kicks off in August and includes 35 performances across all states.
Caloundra Music Festival Director Richie Eyles said the talented artist would provide something special for his legion of loyal local fans.
"Xavier Rudd and his eight-piece international all-star band The United Nations will be a headline act at this year's festival and it'll include the release of his new single Flag – the second single from his acclaimed album Nanna," he said.
"His Australian tour will come hot on the heels of an incredible European Tour where he'll perform for fans in 16 cities across seven countries, so we're rapt to have him in Caloundra and I'm sure festival goers will be too.
"More than 80 local, national and international bands performed at the 2014 Caloundra Music Festival and in the first hour after applications opened for this year's event we had over 200 applications flood in via our website alone.
"So we're looking forward to announcing more bands and artists who'll be performing at the festival in the coming weeks."
