While winter may be setting in across most of the country, Queensland is enjoying the warmer temperatures that only inspire you to get outside and keep moving. Noosa Ultimate Sports Festival, presented by Seven Sport, offers participants a plethora of swimming, running and cycling events for all sports fans.

There's plenty to take part in across the weekend, make a splash in one of the ZINC 96.1 SWIM NOOSA ocean swim events. The distances to choose from include a 3.8km, 2km, 1km and 500m ocean swim washing up on Saturday 23 May. Queensland open water swim specialists Hurst, Trent Grimsey, George O'Brien and Chelsea Gubecka will be crowd favourites in the elite races –taking on both 3.8km and 2km races back to back.

For the cycling enthusiasts there are two distances to gear up for in the SUBARU CYCLE NOOSA; 160km and 85km, taking place on Sunday 24 May. Both courses are designed to test your legs and impress your eyes as you will be in awe of the stunning Sunshine Coast scenery that reveals itself across the journey. Professional triathletes Belinda Granger and Melissa Hauschildt will be among the riders enjoying the best of Noosa on Sunday.

For those who prefer to take part in events on foot the ETIXX RUN NOOSA is for you - offering a leg for everyone. All distances will take in the best that Noosa has to offer with gorgeous beach scenery. Whether you are looking for a half marathon, a 10km test or a 5km run/walk with the family, RUN NOOSA has something for you. Elite athletes Elliot Jackson, Justin Granger and Emma Carney will battle it out for the win in the half marathon.

Noosa offers the perfect setting to host this event and will transform the beach and streets into a vibrant and exciting event, attracting thousands of participants and fans.

While Noosa Ultimate Sports Festival is a different format for the event organisers, IRONMAN Asia-Pacific, the event attracts a mass of triathletes who rave about it as a great training opportunity ahead of their larger goal of competing in one of the many triathlons on the IRONMAN calendar.

"Noosa Ultimate Sports Festival provides a fantastic weekend option for the community to get involved in and a great boost for Noosa and surrounding areas," said Mr Geoff Meyer, IRONMAN Asia-Pacific Chief Executive Officer.

All events across the Noosa Ultimate Sports Festival attract competitors from all over Australia while the local community are always tremendously supportive – with many participating across the festival weekend.

The festival weekend is based in Noosa Heads and includes an expo and entertainment program each day that the whole family can enjoy.
