Football has always been the stand-out in Emirates' sponsorship portfolio and accounts for nearly half of all their online citations. It's their sponsorship of football that has brought them the most cut-through and the most value. Through the acquisition of sponsorship rights with governing bodies and leading clubs teams, Emirates has arguably become one of the most prominent brands within football.

Emirates has an equally impressive portfolio of sponsorships at European club level with partnerships including AC Milan, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal. In 2014, Emirates resigned with Arsenal Football Club in a deal that included ongoing naming right to Emirates Stadium as well as an eight-year shirt sponsorship deal through to 2019 worth 150 million pounds or 30 million pounds annually.
