This year's Caloundra Music Festival is almost here. Here's some key info, to make your festival experience even more memorable.
Caloundra Music Festival starts with a bang
Caloundra Music Festival's big birthday bash starts with a bang, literally, with a free fireworks show on Thursday, September 29 at 7.30pm. Come on down with the family, enjoy dinner at one of our local restaurants and enjoy the show. Shoppers in the local area who spend more than $25, can also enter to win four Monday tickets. One big festival site
This year, thanks to some tricky engineering, the festival will be contained in one site with a pedestrian bridge providing access over Ormonde Terrace. Once you've got your ticket, and you fancy a swim between acts, you'll be able to re-enter at Ormonde Terrace as well.
BYO Empty Water Bottle
#BYOH2O groovers! Bring your own empty refillable water bottle. Note: No glass allowed in the festival. No beverages are allowed through the gates so make sure your bottle is empty! We have lots of free refill stations for you to fill up - top up & keep hydrated.
New CMF Classy Re-Useable Cup
We are saying goodbye to disposable plastic cups at our bars because this year we have introduced the re-usable festival cup! For only $3.50, you will collectively stop the wastage of approximately 30,000 disposable plastic cups over the four-day festival weekend. The festival cup comes with a handy lanyard so you can hang it around your neck all weekend. After the festival your cup lives on to attend other music festivals and events.
New Funky Food Precincts
Be prepared for a culinary experience at this year's CMF as we take festival food to the next level! Take a food journey over the four days of Sun, Surf & Soul & visit each of the fabulous vendor locations on offer throughout the festival site. From Soul Food to Sunshine Boulevard and down to Beachside Court each food precinct offers delicious treats, yummy eats made from fresh and local produce.
Varks Valet Service for Push Bikes
To show how much we really appreciate all the groovers who bike to the festival, this year we are offering 'Varks Valet', a free Bike Valet service dedicated to Scott "Aardvark" Penny. This will be located at the main entrance.
The Valet service will be operational from 11.30am until 10.30pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday and 9.30pm Monday. As an added bonus if you check your bike in between 12pm and 2pm on any day of the festival and you will receive a complimentary bicycle safety check.
Park and Ride
Let's face it no one is going to get a park anywhere near the festival site, so save yourself the hassle and use the park and ride option. Parking at the three following locations is free and shuttle buses run from 11.00am -11.00pm!

- Queen Street, Caloundra (Caloundra State Primary School)
- Bower Street, Caloundra (at Caloundra State High School)
Funky Forest for the little groovers
Funky Forest is back this year – bigger than ever. Funky Forest is home to our Sun Stage and has lots of exciting activities for the kids. Create, play and explore! Nestled under the shady trees of Kings Beach Park, there is fun for kids of all ages. All the fun and excitement of the daily workshops, sports and games can be found in the CMF mini program which is available at the festival gates.
